CARNIVAL TUESDAY!!!!!!!

IT'S CARNIVAL TUESDAY! Today is the last day of Carnival celebrations as Lent begins tomorrow (Ash Wednesday). In countries where Carnival is celebrated, today marks the climax of the entire Carnival season where the biggest and most spectacular celebrations/parades take place today. Throughout the world, themes of emancipation, social inversion and cultural unity are explored through pulsating rhythms (or riddims), costume, dance and days of drunken revelry. Since it's Carnival in my head year round, here are some random doodles of mas/costumes. As to why I'm not in Trinidad, in costume with a beer in hand getting on in the road.... I really don't know :( HAPPY CARNIVAL TO ALL!  

Yummy Energy Balls

In case you didn't know, the Lululemon blog is pretty kick-ass. A few weeks ago there was a posting about an energy ball taste test that was done at their head office in Vancouver. The recipes looked SO GOOD, I had no choice but to try making the winning ball myself- Whole Food's Chocolate Earth Ball. Sweet mother of god, this ball was deeeeeeelish! It definitely hit the spot after yoga.
